After a qualifying school career in the plastic arts, and some notions of additional drawings assimilated in evening class at the Academy of Fine Arts of Châtelet, the vagaries of life led me to take very varied paths, professionally first, and then geographically. But the passion of drawing, painting and music remained present, I practiced as soon as I could, a little dilettante, but always with pleasure and happiness.
In 2004 a departure to France, more particularly Bergerac, disrupts a whole life, the opportunity to discover new lights, to meet artists of all kinds, to participate in the associative life around music and arts in the broadest sense.
The chance to realize a dream was born in 2008 with the opening of the Beaux-Arts Bergerac store, right in front of... The Academy Pictura, Pastel school directed by Jean-Charles Peyrouny, an encounter that will mark the beginning of another dream...and a beautiful friendship.
For two years, friendships are born, Pascal Ledoux, engraver does me the honor of coming to make many demonstrations in the store, involving many customers, sharing unreservedly his knowledge, A great fraternity is taking shape here too, as we discuss the meaning of life and our passions.
In 2009, thanks to friends living under the same roof and after many works, an art gallery is set up above the store, and it is a Belgian friend, André Colpin engraver, painter, printer, paper maker, who does me the honor "to wipe the plasters"Like he said so well.
Other parallels take shape, logical continuity of the activity of painter, framing and painting courses. Logical because the need for autonomy, and the desire to master all the parameters of the activity and to set solid milestones is felt, the desire to realize is more pressing.
2010, year of all the changes, the store closes its doors definitively, semi-failure that despite everything, allowed me to understand that dreams were achievable and accessible, for who believes in it and puts all its energy into it.
From there, part-time work, more painting, less stress, supported by my friends, I can move towards my deep desires.
Back to basics in 2012, following the death of my father, who made me realize that life may be short, and that we must move forward in his personal goals. From this moment, assiduous daily practice, regional and provincial exhibitions, allow me to evolve, to meet many artists, and to feed myself (again) exchange on art and life.
Since then, partnerships are multiplying, with L'Antre de Artistes first, art products store, also organizing thematic workshops, exhibitions, and weekday courses.
Six years at the Namur Watercolor School help me to evolve and understand what I want to try to transmit, taking the follow-up of an artist who has transmitted a great know-how is not easy, but it pushes to go further.
In 2018, new projects start with Top'Art, art shop or painting and drawing courses are given, a framing workshop takes shape, and since 2021 I also offer courses and internships at the Folon Foundation, a mecca of cultural and creative dynamics.
